Setup and manage Hexagon EAM

Helping to configure and optimize your EAM setup. Based on our long standing experience in EAM implementations we can help you understand the several scenarios Hexagon EAM provides in supporting your asset management processes. This accounts for multi-organization setup, department security, warehouse setup, preventive maintenance scheduling, automated meter reading, grids, custom screens, … to name a few.

Configure EAM Mobile

EAM Mobile comes in different flavors and can be used by a wide variety of users in different environments. Because of this its often practical to create some additional mobile DataSpy’s. Apart from the front-end configuration, the back-end needs some updates or patching once in a while. We can assist in you in this, and even handle the IT complexities with your IT department if necessary.

Create or Enhance Cognos Reports

Every business is unique in its details. So often the default reports supplied with EAM are not the best match with the demands of the business. Helping you getting the best out of the system and all the hard work people put in to it, the reports should reflect the exact status of your assets, maintenance, finance, etc., and help people understand their business.

Azure to Infor Cloud Suite DataLake REST connection

Connect from the Azure Data Factory to the Hexagon EAM Data Lake using REST web services. Practically all EAM tables can be incrementally exported to the Data Lake, which can then be connected to ADF or any other system that can deploy REST web services with a REST API.

Flexibele Web Services Prompts screens and Excel imports

For a specific business process, such as entering a common purchase request or entering a certain type of object, create a kind of wizard screen that guides and supports the user in entering complex data. These screens can be translated almost 1:1 into upload sheets with which these tasks can be performed in bulk.

Create Extensible Framework triggers in the Front-End

Using the Hexagon EAM Extensible Framework (javascript) is a wide range of dynamic adjustments to make to the EAM screens. With this, fields can be made mandatory or hidden, values can be entered in fields based on other fields, undesirable combinations of field values can be detected, or custom pop-up messages can be generated, values can be retrieved from external sources, such as license plate information via external resources. The possibilities are endless.

Upload structured data into databases

Base data is key to a well performing asset management system. Keeping track of new equipment, equipment properties and structure, spare parts, and suppliers catalogs, can be quite a challenge. As an example, we have developed some advanced Excel sheets that validates the integrity of class based properties of thousands of objects, and when correct, creates SQL based scripts for uploading the data.

Shutdown management in Hexagon EAM

In May 2017 together with Steam Consultancy we held a presention and demo how to setup a structured shutdown management in Hexagon EAM

Interested in how we set up and enhanced the Hexagon EAM shutdown module to reuse previous shutdown projects?

Equipment Structure Upload

To input thousands of objects, including structure, multiple properties, and comments by hand is unfeasible in a short time, so for this purpose a generic Microsoft Excel Sheet with was developed. One of it's purposes is to create SQL scripts for copying the data into the EAM database.

EAM E-procurement Pilot

E-procurement, including punch-out, in EAM is realized with the Infor iProcure platform. We worked together with parts suppliers, Infor, and purchase department to setup the first iProcure customer in Europe.

Shutdown Planning

In this project we had to enhance the current EAM Shutdown and Projects module to create a system for shutdown blueprints. Think of a menucard with selectable menu items. Included are duplicating previous shutdown projects, generating all workorders, MS-Project based scheduling of activities.

Periodical Summary Reports

For example a summary report of the number of connected houses to the district heating system, including the accumulated heat capacity per area.

Compare and adjust class properties

Based on a grid that combines two classes (template and instance) a comparison on the properties setup can be made and adjusted. Part of a data cleansing initiative.

Barcode Templates

Storeroom personnel and technicians required more information on the barcode label, like printdate, requestor, purchase order, and workorder for direct material.
